Now that Iron Maiden are headlining Soundwave their new video "The Final Frontier" should be played on video hits.

Already checked it out at Rage it rocks massively.

Loving melodic and power metal. More Aussie metal bands need to be played on video hits they don't all growl.

Loving Perth Band Voyager at the moment. Two videos "Lost" and "The Devil in ME'

Lord's cover of Kylie MInogue's "On a night like this" is a pretty funny video.

Would love it if Video Hits would play more new Aussie rock and metal.

Keep banging and rockin. Can't wait to get a Soundwave ticket.

I mean do they have to have her cause of the culture sensitive thing?.... Like the token dark girl? she's not funny not bubbly... i think they should try out all there options and maybe audition for another video hits girl/guy, The show is awesome and i think the show would be even more better if they had a funny random cute person doing the interviews/introductions and whatever else.

I have nothing against that big haired girl, i think she would be better on a kids show maybe or an assistant to another show host.

May 11: As I Lay Dying's new record: The Powerless Rise.

June 28: Parkway Drive's new record: Deep Blue.

July 27: Avenged Sevenfold's new album. A few names being tossed around for this one. (Static, Nightmare, foREVer, Unwind The Chainsaw. These are just the ones that I have heard) This will be a very interesting release, as it is the first Album after the very sad passing of founding member, drummer and legend Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. New single "Nightmare" comes out May 18th, however, a 30sec preview was released a couple of days ago. This album feature's Dream Theatre drummer Mike Portnoy performing the drum tracks that The Rev wrote.

Metallica touring Australia in October/November!

The first date on the Tour is October 18th in Brisbane at the Boondall Entertainment Centre. Pre-release Tickets went on sale on Thursday and the most expensive ticket I have seen so far is $150. I really would like to know who is supporting/opening for them.

I am super excited for all of these releases and so should all metal-heads out there!

I just took a look at the Artists section of this website, and funnily enough, I clicked on the Rock tab.... if you can call it that. Most of the Artists come under the classification of Pop/Rock, which is nothing like Rock, just like Pop/punk is nothing like Punk.

Not to mention there are ALOT of very well known artists that havent even been mentioned on those lists.

If those lists are what VH has previously played on their show, that's fine. But if that is the case, then why play Marilyn Manson and not Metallica? Is it something to do with the sound of Marilyns music and not his lyrical content? If that is their justification then the new music industry is a lot more shallow than I thought it was.... pfft what am I saying, I've known it was like that ever since Akon bought out his *ahem* song. (something about not being disrespectful then calling her the other name for a female dog).

I know this spray is pointless, but, this is freedom of speech, and I am going to exercise that right as much as I can.

There was a song on this mornings videohits on 10/April

it featured a band members in wat seemed like a haunted house of some kind. The members of the band where dressed vintage and the video was directed in sort of a start/stop as the band members do very strange things around the house. The most stand out vision i can remember was a male pulling strings out of a piano. it was a little emo, very tim burton like.

so is justin beibers voice edited coz it herts my head?????

I just rediscovered these guys after not getting around to listening to their music for quite some time. And can I say.. they are freaking amazing. A highlight of modern music. Sometimes modern hard rock/metal gets boring, it's all the same (note, this only applies to modern bands, not 80's/90's rock and metal), but A7X introduce something different

Can't wait til their next album and tour of Aus, whenever that will be.

RIP James Sullivan (I would have loved to hear more of his backing vocals)
