I am getting cheesed off again here we go another lot of good competition and only for SMS. As i do not own a mobile phone why am i discriminated once again from entering for the prizes I see it is coming the future many other promotors are doing the same i think its because they make revenue off each call that is why it is done .But what about all the people who don't own a mobile i know we are few and far between not every jumps onto the technology band wagon.

There are competition terms and conditions to most if not all comps. We have comps where the person entering have to be over 18 to enter, those under 18 get annoyed and say it isn't fair because they are being discriminated against.
Australian Idol have rules that to audition you have to be 16, those who are 14 or 15 complain that it is discriminatory.
I chose Vodaphone as my provider because it gave me the better deal, after I joined up OPTUS changed to a better deal, am I discriminated against in their comps because I am with Vodaphone etc.
When you go to a theme-park some of the rides say you need to be so tall to be able to go on the rides or you can't be pregnant or have a heart condition to go on the rides, is that also discriminatory and yet this later group cannot do anything to change their circumstances. You have a choice of getting a phone if you want to enter a competition that has rules or conditions attached. It isn't discriminatory at all.
Sorry but you would qualify for rules of some comps whereby others may miss out. :(

yes I know but it is getting the way with alot of comps lately I know about we all do not qualify for some of the terms and conditions for alot of competitions I have also seen some comps lately for over 50 not allowed to enter so i knew i would get this response but it is becoming true that in time all comps will be mobile i have been told by one of the promotors he is going to have SMS comps only in the next year .
Unfortunately it is the way they are going and it isn't going to change.
I seeriously don't agree with it, but know it is not going to revert back to the old ways :(
VH is a corporate machine. They don't care about the people who can't afford to send a million texts at 0.55 dollars each. They just want money.
As with all businesses....are in business to make money but they often forget about a lot of people too.
