Hi there. Was really upset and disturbed to hear about Carrie's husband's passing. Did not know that he was ill and so very sorry to hear. Our sympathies are with Carrie and her family and hope that this helps her understand that there are people that care and understand. Lots of Love being sent to you. I wish you and your family lots of love at this difficult time. We do send our Love and thoughts to you. Take care. From regular viewer's. Pete & Vicki from Brisbane, Qld.
Hi,
I am trying to locate a dog that I gave up over 6 years ago!!!! I know it's a long shot, but wondering if you could help me out if I sent a photo in. I've been feeling very guilty and would like to know where he is and that he is happy to get some closure!
I would obviously love him back, but to know he is being looked after would also be suffice..
Could you help me on what may be an impossible task! PLEASE!
Melissa
I am interested in the Aged Care segment I saw several nights ago. My mum is 90 yrs old and in a nursing home on the Gold Coast. After the initial shock 5 years ago when she had a major stroke affecting 60% of her brain and the inability of my elderly father to move forward with planning it has been a major source of break up and family dysfunction.
The nursing home she eventually landed in has been adequate but it is lack of stimulation, physical therapies, enrichment and comfort that surprised me most, if it were not for the family taking an active interest then several problems would not have been averted. There is much more that the community can do to integrate our elderly into society. High school programs offering aged care Certification needs to be advertised and looked upon favourably. These places are under-resourced, and society needs to step up to the plate. The elderly made this country, it is built on their tax dollars.
I notice that one of your stories tonight is regarding fathers who don't get a fair deal when it comes to visiting rights.
This has been a concern for many years and I can say from my experience that while it is more common among men it can happen to women as well.
It happened to me! while I now enjoy a great relationship with my grown children there are many lost years that can never be replaced.
My story, I married into a wealthy family and after fourteen years and three children came home from work after not being able to access my funds at an ATM and found my home empty my children gone and my husband not contactable.
I didn't see my children for over 12 months, I fell into deep depression which played into his hands completely.
If you have the money and no conscience you can get away with anything.
The law has been talking shared custody for years is it not about time each parent put themselves in each others position and come to a fair decission on behalf of their children.
JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR THEIR SAKE...
I think more should have been done before the show was shown. The lastest laws give men 50% custody of there children without question, unless they have been convited of abuse against the child not the mother or anyone else in those case they can still get custody. Focus needs to be placed back onto the safty of the children and their wellbeing. Not the self scented parents.
just remember this one thing a wife can leave a husband basher but a child can not.
i would like the 7 pm projeet do a story and that remarkable interview this morning about prof tim flannery when he said it will take a thousand years before there is a change in climate change, that that will be a funny story.
thank you
guy
With the NSW election coming up and the NSW Preimer being a woman and about to be slaughtered in the Polls. I have to ask WHY does the state Labour parties around Australia, always wait until they are about to be completely decimated at the polls, before they decide to put a woman in the top job.
It's like they have decided that things can't get any worse so lets claim a moral win by being the first political party to have a woman leader.
Victorian Labour did it with Joan Kirner. QLD did it with Anna Bleigh, although it backfired with the floods giving her a lift. And ofcourse NSW have a woman on the bridge of the Titanic bravely steering the ship to the ocean floor. What a joke!!!!
I live on the Coast i also feel the same way god bless these beautiful gifted elderly i look after a 92 year old spend one whole day with her she loves to get out of the nursing home love cuppa chinos on he coast looks so forward for me every Tuesday brings me so much joy we shop we go to the post office we do everything together i love her dearly 92 year old and you would never now she runs around with life, knowledge of the war times food wise maybe if more was done for these wonderful elderly joy would come into there lives more often
Thank you for running a story to highlight the sport of duck hunting however I was somewhat disappointed that the story failed to show the true reality out in the wetlands. It did not show the drunken hunters, the ducklings being shot, the magnitude of injured birds or the abuse rescuers have to endure from hunters. Perhaps next year (if the ducks have to try & survive another killing season) the 7pm project could get out there for the first weekend of the slaughter and see first hand the craziness of it all.
Thanks for the 'Power of Good' stories. I really enjoy the positive outlook you're bringing to the show! Well done to all concerned.
Who was the grumpy young man who walked out of the Hyatt with babe in arms, whilst his lovely sweet wife pushed the pram with the toddler. Who had endured labour and had the most difficult task. Maybe it was because he didn't want to be recognized, unusual attire, very serious face, I was concerned how worried he looked! Being a country lady 65yrs I was visiting my daughter and new baby. If only I had a hidden camera I could of sent to the panel. Who was this guy - yep the spiffy well dressed Dave on your show. Have a happy relaxed and safe Easter and thanks for converting me to your show where I can have a laugh. Cheers Gran K Nagambie 3608.
Hey there great to see Cath Robinson on the show.....one of TV's great sorts!!!
Where is Carrie??????????????
Carbon Tax
How the heck does Julia Gillard expect to compensate people equitably for the carbon tax when she has no idea how it will affect people. As we are seeing today as basic commodity prices (food, fuel etc)increase then we are told that inflation is up. The carbon tax will definetely increase the price of all commodities even if it is just a transportation impost. When this happens the reserve bank steps in and declares that interest rates need to rise. So those with loans get hammered and those with cash invested bank accounts get a bonus. How is the government going to work that one out?
dont these guys doing all the fighting in WA know that alcohol can be your friend.
look at Karl Stefanovic, he missed out on the logie last year, got on the squirt straight away, putin a blinder thenext morning and walked away with gold in 2011.
