World Record Attempt : Callers to the Department of Human Services (aka Centrelink) will now be able to connect directly to an operator, not get a busy tone, and not be put on hold for 20 minutes.
Wow, if this is true then great, but with my experience with Centrelink lately, I am yet to see that. Last week, it took 32 minutes to get through to talk to someone. Only knew that because I bought a new phone that had the call duration on it.
Must be due to the employment situation.
Mind you I wait longer than that to get through to the phone company and I'm PAYING them!

If one rings at odd hours u r more likely to get an indian or philipino quicker, but harder to talk to. It appears there are less ozzie staff!

For c/link i ring self serve. Dont say your numbers, use the keypad otherwise you will end like milton the monster! Then keep your toes and legs crossed (depending on who yor with!) and hang on.

My daughters Abstudy was accidently cancelled and I sat for 43 minutes the first day and give up and then 34 minutes the second time. arrgghhh. They said they were installing a call back option early this year but luckily I wont need to bother with them until they stuff up my kids study payments again and again.
